A quick note about the Science Fair:
The school science fair is all day on Tuesday, January 29. In order to participate, students must have their trifold, logbook, and any other project elements in the Hawksnest during flex entry time the day of the fair. Trifolds are not permitted on the school buses, so bus students will need to make other arrangements to get their trifolds to school on January 29th and home on January 31st. Participating students will be out of class for the majority of the day, presenting their projects in the Hawksnest, but will still get the regular recess and lunch breaks.

-Heritage Park field trip is next Thursday (September 27) and we need four or five parent volunteers in order for the trip to happen. Please let your child know if you are available and I will send home a Volunteer form
-Math Patterns and Pattern Rules check-in tomorrow
-There is no school this Friday (PD Day)
-Autobiographies will be due sometime late next week. Your child can show you what they have completed so far on their CBE Google account

-learned about pattern rules and identified some patterns
-continued researching about the five types of Wetlands
-visited the Learning Commons (Library), went over expectations, got library cards and signed out some books

-School Forms went home today and need to be returned next week

-attended the first assembly of the year (learned about all of the new teachers and learning leaders)
-completed several team building activities with the other Grade 5 classes
-subtraction review sheet
